spartacus is staying with us for a few days (read here if you don't know his story)and there is something i have noticed. he does not like fans. i have seen him react before to a small, hand-held fan with lights, but i figured that would be a normal reaction lots of dogs would have.
last night i accidentally turned the ceiling fan on, when i meant to just turn the light on. now, our ceiling fan is not low or what i consider close, because we have a vaulted ceiling. i quickly switched the fan off, it didn't even reach full speed. as it slowed down, that is when spartacus noticed the movement of the slowing fan. he started reacting with a high-pitched bark-cry, that i have only heard him make before when seeing the hand-held fan.
spartacus stopped the bark-cry after the fan stopped moving completely. i'm not sure if this is just his quirk, because all dogs have them, or perhaps it's a clue about his past.
