yuki would like to thank everyone for wishing her a happy birthday. i have posted below a dairy-free, low fat, pupcake recipe kept simple and a few photos of how some things for yuki's party were made. yuki's and rocket's friends dommy and piper even attended, you can check out that cute picture here.
{ simple carrot pupcakes}
yields about 8
directions:
preheat oven to 350 F.
1. in one bowl mix whole-wheat flour, wheat germ, baking powder,and cinnamon. add the carrots and mix well.
2. in another bowl mix vanilla, egg, and honey. add wet mixture to dry mixture and mix until well combined. gradually add water until the batter has become the right consistency. not too thick but not too runny.
3. line muffin tin with 8 paper cups and fill 3/4 of the way with batter.
4. bake for 25-30 minutes.
5. you may frost with a dog-friendly frosting or leave it plain.
i sure have stretched the way i use my schnauzer cookie cutter beyond the kitchen. there are so many more uses for it, here are 2 new ways i have used it.
1. trace the cookie cutter on a sheet of paper.
2. cut the shape out.
3. draw 8 dots in an angled line. poke a hole through the dots. with a sewing needle, insert thread through the holes.
4. keep the thread you are using in a length you desire for your garland. keep adding the cut-outs until it's as long as you want.
i think the pictures are pretty self explanatory for how the cookie cutter was used in this instance.
another picture explanation, this is just how i achieved 3 different shades of pink in the cake layers.
