wordless wednesday: thought you could outsmart me?

remember last month when  rocket destroyed our blankie? if not, click here. well, mom thought she could pull one over on me and buy a couple of molly mutt beds. she thought, since they don't come with stuffing and you could stuff them with whatever, like our old blankets and old clothes, what's the worse i could do? bol! i sure showed mom, i'm the queen of destruction.

one of those people

okay, so i admit it.  i have judged people who put their dogs in strollers. i was a judger.  i then realized how helpful these strollers could be, in controlling my two wild beasts when taking them to their grooming appointments.

when i get to the grooming place, all i do is unbuckle them, one at a time from their carseats and secure them in the stroller.  when driving, yuki knows from a distance that we are almost there. yuki then starts her whining and barking and then gets rocket to do the same. they are already excited in a bad way, by the time i have parked. imagine trying to get out one at time, holding on to your purse, then attach a leash, and control the pulling. multiply that times two.

then there is the nightmare of trying to enter the place. after i get past that obstacle, i have to try to talk to the groomers about how i want them groomed. i have one trying to leave the place and the other whining and trying to walk everywhere. since i have them in the stroller they can't get out. same goes with trying to pick them up. it's an even bigger nightmare since they are excited to see me and to leave. but i have to pay. imagine trying to hold on to two wild beast schnauzers, manage a purse on shoulder, and then try paying. one might say, take one at a time. i did, when it was just yuki, and i needed the stroller then too. i know i got looks as well and some comments about how cute the stroller was. but i was not trying to be cutesy. i know people weren't judging me negatively for the most part. they actually liked the stroller. but either way, i don't care if i get judged. if the stroller makes my life easier and less stressful, then so be it.

yeah, so what?

Rocket doesn't any have shame when it comes to destruction of toys. Usually, Yuki is the one destroying toys, but when we catch her, she'll run and hide. Not Rocket. He almost seems boastful of his toy destruction. When I found a rope he had ripped apart, all over the house, he actually started posing next to his pieces of string. rocket was excited, wagging his tail and If he could talk, he'd ask me if i was proud of him.

what's this i see?

and this?

oh, and all of this??

pretty pawsome, right mom??

♥valentine biscuits♥

If my our valentine day picture below, wasn't just the greatest valentine's day gift ever, then here's a yummy recipe for all us pups.

what you'll need:

1 cup rice flour

1/4 cup oats

1/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup water

mix the two flours and oats well. mix in honey.

add vanilla and water. you may dilute vanilla in the water before adding it, making it easier to blend into the dough.

knead the dough with your hand until everything has been incorporated. shape dough into a ball and place on a floured surface. roll out dough and cut out shapes. place on a lined or well greased baking sheet. place in oven at 350 f for 20 minutes, or until the edges of the cookie begin to turn golden. once cooled you may serve as is, or spread melted carob on top of the cookies and sprinkle with the human's edible decorations.

ingredients:

1 cup rice flour

1/4 cup oats

1/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 cup water

preheat oven to 350 f. in a medium bowl, mix the two flours and oats well. mix in honey. add vanilla and water. you may dilute vanilla in the water before adding it, making it easier to blend into the dough. knead the dough with your hands until everything has been incorporated and taking care the vanilla has been blended well. shape dough into a ball and place on a floured surface. roll out dough fairly thick, about 1/4 inch and cut out shapes. place on a lined or well greased baking sheet. place in oven for about 20 minutes, or until the edges of the cookie begin to turn golden. once cooled you may serve as is, or spread melted carob on the cookies and top with human sprinkles, making sure decorations are made of real sugar. yuki and rocket rarely eat treats like this, only for special occasions.
